Remembering 2013 Through Scenes

2013 has been a very memorable year for me. I've been into different places and adventures, which an architect/blogger should explore to. What fascinates me the most during my 2013 ride were those breath-taking scenes provided by our mother earth. They were very priceless! Good thing that I had with me my Samsung Galaxy Young (my partner in taking instant pictures) and thank goodness that Instagram (my instant photo-sharing partner) was invented. Here's a quick look at some of those shots I've shared with Instagram:

February 2, 2013
A dramatic sky greeted us while we (core team, volunteers, and beneficiary of U! Happy Events) were having our event entitled "Bright Lights 2" at Liter of Lights Center, San Juan. This event was in partnership with My Shelter Foundation.

Such a memorable way to end the 2nd semester. This breath-taking view appeared right before our eyes after we have submitted our final requirement for a particular subject. It was an epic sem-ender for me.

The sun bids goodbye as we were waiting for the Green Guitar Festival. The event was organized by the School of Urban and Regional Planning. It was a post-Earth-day celebration, which was participated by guitarists, artists, and environmentalists.

A view form one of those expressways. I took this shot while we're taking our ride home from U! Happy Events' very productive team building and mid-year planning session at Subic.

U! Happy Events took the kids and scholars of Tulong sa Kapwa Kapatid for a memorable environmental trip at the La Mesa Ecopark. Read the article regarding the event HERE.

Another reason to smile in spite of a very tiring Monday. Starting November this year, my Mondays became really tiring due to my work-study-work schedule. And it takes a huge amount of energy, dedication, and passion to carry on. Good thing that a view like this appeared before me just to cheer me up.

Sunset welcomed my arrival in Iloilo. Finally, after five years... I came back. This is my first time to come home as an architect and an as an academician.

Such a breath-taking view. My first time to visit a now-popular subdivision in Iloilo. I'm truly impressed with how skies in provinces differ from skies in urban places. Very dramatic, indeed.

Thank you so much for taking your time in reading this year-end reflection. This is your blogger, Arch. Matthew Sanchez Chua a.k.a. Artistmat, wishing you a very meaningful and productive 2014! Thank you so much for being with me this 2013! Let me end this post by leaving you this simple thought:

"We share the same view, but we don't share the same way we look at them."
